I'm trying to convert my joined fanlistings list to Flinx, but I'm bored already *sniffle* I've only done 5 categories and I've already had enough. At this rate I'll be finished at this time next year ;)
Thank you for all the congratulations on my new job. For those of you who asked, Boots is a chemist that also sells a wide range of perfume, make-up, bath stuff etc. The one I'm working in isn't as big as some of the ones I've been in, so it's all groovy *g*
I really don't have any news, but I'm going to tell you about a little incident that happened a couple of days ago. A friend of mine from home invited me to this gig that he had organised in town, so I invited my housemates. One of them, Eileen, all but laughed in my face and acted like she was really disgusted that I would think she would be interested and invite her. Frankly, fuck her. I have to go to clubs that play shite chart/dance music with her all the time, but she's not willing to give what I like a chance. I was actually really annoyed at the way she responded and am still finding it difficult to talk to her - I hold grudges for unreasonably long periods of time sometimes...
I actually have plans for this weekend, which is a novel occurence. Tomorrow I'm heading to the pub to watch the Ireland v. South Africa rugby game. Apparantly Arsenal are playing at midday, so Emma and I plan to get to the pub in time for that and stay until after the rugby, which should give us a good six hours of drinking. Although, frankly at that point we'll probably want to stay for longer than planned *g*

Well, my interview is over and I got the job! Woohoo! Hurrah for me for I am a functioning member of society ;) The interview took about 25 minutes and involved a role-play and a question and answers session on Boots itself - very interesting *g* Today, I had my induction and was forced to watch very dull videos about safety and customer relations, as well as sign a million different forms. I start on Monday and am working 12.30 - 6.30, Monday to Friday. That's only about 27 hours though, which is a bit of a drag, but I was assured that I'd be getting quite a few late nights the closer we get to Christmas. I'm really very relieved that I don't have to look around for work anymore, but the thought of actually starting makes me a bit sad. No more arsing around on my computer all day *L*

I have somehow managed to get myself a job interview for Boots! I'm not sure what on my application would have convinced them that I should come in for an interview, but I ain't complaining *g* I'm not entirely convinced of my skills when it comes to interviews though. I always feel that it went well, but I rarely get offered the job... Still, tomorrow morning at 10am I'll be on my best behaviour, trying to impress the very nice lady and make her offer me a job =D Wish me luck!
Otherwise, well I've just been bumming around. I've been doing a lot of work on my websites and have even given cacophany a new layout - ooooohhhh, aaaaahhhh *L* Thanks for the comments on Freaks & Geeks. It's already one of my favourite sites and one of the creators of the comic has even told me that he likes it *swoons in true fan-girl style* Thank you also for the congratulations on my results. My graduation ceremony is at the end of the month, so that should be interesting! Oh, and because I forgot last time, Susan, thank you so much for offering to help me upgrade to PhPFanbase! Sadly, I didn't read your offer until I was almost done, but I really appreciate that you offered =) I feel pretty comptent myself after 30 fanlistings *L*
I still haven't managed to get around to reading everyone else's blogs *curses not having the internet at home* and I only have about half an hour left here before they close computer labs. Hopefully, I'll get around to it tomorrow after the interview.

I have become such a bad blogger! I promise to remedy that (I know I've promised before, but this time I mean it!). So, a quick catch-up on recent events in my ever-so-interesting life...
Mid-October I had my Viva, which was basically a short question and answers session with the external examiner of my dissertation. It only lasted for about 15 minutes and was incredibly informal. Afterwards, we all headed to the pub (what a surprise!), examiner and lecturers included. The next day the course supervisor rang me to tell me that I had gotten a 2.1 - hurrah, huzzah and whippee!!!!!!! Considering my supervisor was a bit lacking in the supervision department, I think that's a splendid mark =) I always knew I'd be happy coming out of the course with a 2.1, so it was great to actually get it.
Since then I've been job-searching. Unsuccessfully so far, I might add. I don't particular want to excavate until Spring, so I've just been looking for a general shop job. Nothing's come up so far, but keep your fingers crossed for me. I've also been working on my websites and have finally managed to convert everything to PhPFanbase - thank jesus for that! I've opened a few new fanlistings and been approved for some more, but the most important one is Freaks & Geeks, my fanlisting and fansite for New X-Men: Academy X. Check it out and let me know what you think!
Normal blogging will resume as of today =D
